The punkest thing about birdwatching is knowing that each bird is part of an interconnected system that works because they exist. The punkest thing about nature is that diversity is what makes it work. The punkest thing about all forms of life is the creation of community.

Birding is punk because it recognizes nature everywhere—even in cities. Birding is punk because it allows people to reclaim their spaces by contemplating nature. Birding is punk because it always demands conservation and justice. Birding is punk because people come together to watch birds.

This club is a safe, inclusive space, free from any kind of violence. It is rooted in mutual respect, solidarity, and the recognition of diversity. Any form of discrimination based on gender, sexual orientation, race, class, age, or ability is rejected. This space fosters ethical birdwatching—loving toward nature and committed to social and environmental justice. Every voice matters: we value active listening, collective learning, care, and the interdependence of everyone in this community. Birding is punk because it resists, it cares, and it has the power to transform.
